I'm Inês Mota, the founder of Flash & Canvas. Born in September 1997, I was always in love with the animal world and I would prefer little animal toys over dolls. Also early in life, I discovered my passion for art. In 2016, I began my academic journey at the Faculdade de Belas Artes at the University of Porto, where I majored in Fine Arts with a focus on Painting. During this period, I refined my skills in color theory, composition, and expression, learned various techniques, and explored the captivating world of anthropomorphism in my final project. I graduated in 2020, amidst the global pandemic.
My artistic path took a significant turn in 2018 when I purchased my first camera, opening up the world of photography to me. However, it wasn't until 2022, when Yuki—a spirited Siberian Husky and my first dog—joined my life that my passion for photography truly flourished. Inspired by Yuki, I realized I could merge my two greatest passions: painting and photography. This vision materialized into Flash & Canvas in early 2023.
At Flash & Canvas we are dedicated to celebrate the unique bond between humans and animals through custom photography and painting services. I am driven by the joy of transforming cherished moments into timeless, personalized artworks. Bringing together my love for art, photography, and animals has allowed me to build a career that feels like a dream come true.
